Baptism
The Celebration of the Sacrament of Baptism requires that parents, and if possible godparents, attend a baptism preparation class unless they have attended previously. Class is on the first Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. Reservations are required. Baptisms are normally celebrated on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month. Final scheduling will be done at the preparation class.
Reconciliation & Eucharist
The Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Eucharist are normally celebrated in the second grade. Preparation for these sacraments is integrated into both the school and Sunday RE curriculums.
A communal reconciliation service is held twice a year - once in Advent and once in Lent.
Private reconciliation is available on Saturdays between 4:00 and 5:00 p.m.
Confirmation
The Sacrament of Confirmation is administered in the spring for eighth grade students and those older who have prepared for and wish to celebrate this sacrament. Confirmation preparation is integrated into both the RE Sunday program and the school curriculum. Adults who have not been confirmed are asked to call the DRE or the church office for information.

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA)
This is the process of formation in the Catholic Christian faith in which the inquirer meets with others who are interested in exploring Catholicism. The process is appropriate for 1) those who are unbaptized, 2) those who are baptized in another faith tradition who now wish to learn about the Catholic faith and with the intention of possibly becoming Catholic, and 3) those who are baptized Catholics but received no further instruction in the faith. or who did not receive the sacraments of Eucharist and/or Confirmation.
This process has four distinct periods:
Inquiry
Catechumenate
Purification
Mystagogy
Toward the end of the Inquiry Period, the individual is paired with a sponsor who serves as a spiritual companion and offers support and encouragement. For information, please contact Joan Torres at 254-6233 x313.
Anointing of the Sick
A communal celebration of this sacrament is celebrated each fall at one of the Sunday Masses. Individuals wishing to be anointed prior to surgery or related to a major illness should call the church office.
